Supported Applications
The Omega HHTQ88 series is a professional digital torque meter designed for measuring static and dynamic torque values. The system includes a separate torque probe connected to a microcomputer-based display unit, providing data hold, peak measurement capture, and maximum/minimum value recall functions.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The HHTQ88 series operates within an ambient temperature range of 0 °C to 50 °C (32 °F to 122 °F) with a humidity rating of less than 80% RH. The instrument features selectable sampling times: Fast at approximately 0.125 second and Slow at approximately 0.334 second.
Performance specifications include an accuracy of ± (1.5 % + 5 d). The maximum measurement range is defined as 15 Kgf-cm, 13.02 LBF-inch, or 147.1 N-cm. Overload capacity is rated at a maximum of 22.5 Kgf-cm, 19.53 LBF-inch, and 220.1 N-cm.
Configuration Options
The series supports three selectable display units: Kgf-cm, Lbf-inch (LBF-inch), and Newton-cm (N cm). Resolution is configurable between high and low settings depending on the selected unit:
- High resolution: 0.01 Kgf-cm, 0.01 LBF-inch, or 0.01 N-cm.
- Low resolution: 0.1 Kg-cm (Kgf-cm), 0.1 LB-inch (Lbf-inch), or 1 N-cm.
Data output is provided via an RS-232 serial interface for computer connectivity and data acquisition. The system includes a super large LCD display with 61 mm x 34 mm dimensions and 15 mm (0.6") digit size. Power is supplied by an Alkaline or heavy duty type DC 9V battery, model 006P, MN1604 (PP3) or equivalent.
Optional accessories include Windows version software for data recording and acquisition (Part Number SW-U101-WIN) and an RS232 cable (Part Number UPCB-01).
