Supported Applications
The DP25B-TC is a 1/8 DIN thermocouple panel meter for industrial temperature measurement and control. Part of the DP25B platform, it pairs a programmable digital thermocouple input with a large 4-digit, 9-segment display whose patented programmable color can switch between red, amber and green at setpoints or alarm points for clear at-a-glance status.
It accepts J, K, T and J DIN thermocouples and offers programmable setpoints with analog and relay outputs, so it can both indicate temperature and act on it. Configurable menu items cover input type, decimal point, reading and color configuration, dual setpoints with deadband, proportional band and cold-junction offset calibration, with a default input of Type K from the factory.
A NEMA 4 front bezel suits it to wash-down and dusty panels, and the meter carries CE, UKCA and UL US marks. Note: the meter must be installed in accordance with local electrical codes and safety regulations, and for inductive loads a proper TVS protection diode should be fitted externally across the relay contacts.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The thermocouple input spans an overall range of -270 to 1820°C (-454 to 3308°F), with per-type ranges of:
- Type J: -210 to 760°C (-346 to 1400°F)
- Type K: -270 to 1372°C (-454 to 2500°F)
- Type T: -210 to 400°C (-346 to 752°F)
- Type J DIN: -200 to 900°C (-328 to 1652°F)
Accuracy is ±0.5°C (0.9°F) on each thermocouple type, or ±0.5% of reading ±1 digit overall, with a display resolution of 0.1°C or 0.1°F and a response time of 2 seconds. Programmable hysteresis is adjustable from 0 to 9999.
The meter operates from 0 to 50°C (32 to 122°F) at up to 90% @ 40°C (104°F) non-condensing humidity and stores at -40 to 85°C (-40 to 185°F). Standard power is 115 Vac or 230 Vac ±10%, with low-voltage options of 10 to 32 Vdc and 26 to 56 Vdc. Outputs include a 0 to 10 Vdc or 4 to 20 mA analog signal driving a minimum 500 Ω load, plus dual 5 A SPDT (Form C) relays.
Configuration Options
The model number is assembled as DP25B - <Input Type> - <Power Option> - <Output Option>. Within this series the input is fixed as thermocouple, so meters differ by their power supply and output hardware.
Power options are:
- -230 - 230 Vac.
- -DC10/32 - 10 to 32 Vdc.
Output options are:
- -A - analog output.
- -AI-R - isolated analog output (the -R option is required with -AI).
- -R - dual 5 A relays.
- -AR - combined analog and relay options.
Key Product Differences
All configurations start from the DP25B-TC thermocouple base and add a power suffix and an output suffix, which is how the 13 orderable versions are built. Representative examples include:
- DP25B-TC - base thermocouple meter on standard 115 Vac power.
- DP25B-TC-230-AR - 230 Vac with analog output and dual 5 A relays.
- DP25B-TC-DC10/32-AI-R - low-voltage power with isolated analog output and relays.
The related DP25B-RTD, DP25B-E and DP25B-S models extend the same 1/8 DIN panel meter to RTD, process and strain inputs. The meter measures 48 H x 96 W x 152 mm D (1.89 x 3.78 x 6.0") and weighs 36 g (1.27 lb), and the DPP-5 1/8 DIN panel punch is offered as an accessory for preparing the mounting cutout.

Good but information missing
Overall quality of the unit is good but I was surprised that it does not come with a 115/120 V power cord. You would think the fact that you need to connect your own fuse, on/off switch and power plug to the back of the unit would have been mentioned in the product literature. When I clicked the 115/120 V option, I assumed it had a plug.

Not Sure Yet.
I have been using these meters for a while and they worked fine. I needed four more for my company and ordered four new ones two months ago, they finally came in and none of them work as they should. the return process has been very slow so far. I will update this situation after it is resolved. not what I was expecting after spending this much time and money on equipment.

are these able to be password protected once variables are programmed??
Thank you for your inquiry. This device has a LOCK OUT MENU for the configurations. Please refer to the manual for more information.

the DP25-?C-A that i have is flashing +OPN what does this mean? also the numbers below 1 & 2 what do they mean?
The +OPN means the input is open and this can indicate either a faulty sensor or the input is configured for something other than what is being used. The 1 & 2
are indicators for those outputs/alarms being active.
