Le débitmètre à ultrasons portable FDT-25 est conçu pour fonctionner avec des transducteurs à pince afin de permettre de mesurer avec précision le débit d'un liquide dans un tuyau fermé sans avoir à insérer de pièces mécaniques à travers la paroi du tuyau ou à faire saillie dans le système d'écoulement. Utilisant des techniques de temps de transit ultrasonique, le FDT-25 est contrôlé par un système à microprocesseur qui contient une large gamme de données lui permettant d'être utilisé avec des tuyaux dont le diamètre extérieur varie de 15 mm à 6 000 mm (selon le modèle) et qui sont fabriqués dans presque tous les matériaux. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent Portable Flow meter The flow meter is decent. But the manual is sorely lacking. I had to look up youtube videos because it doesn't tell you anything about applying the gel, or the chain or anything. I don't understand how to use the chain. It should have come with straps to keep the magnets in place because they tend to slip on a vertical pipe. Other than that the flow meter seems to work ok, but I was not very sure how accurate the flow is.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poor Submenu for Compatible Transducers Plenty of positives to the meter. The biggest downfall is that the compatible transducers are not listed in the transducer type submenu. There is no reason for this to be a confusing process but this submenu in particular is terrible.

Others worked well on bare galvanized and bare stainless steel pipe. Ask Omega tech support for a helpful install guide (you have to ask for it - not included in box).

If you do not perform a traceable calibration, who does?

1. what is the transducer chain used for? 2. Can data be exported to excel sheet and if so how? Is something additional required? Can system be used to record total GPM and peak GPM over the course of a week if you plug it in instead of using battery

Thank you for your inquiry, about the ultrasonic flow meter. It is used to secure the transducer in place, especially, for larger diameter pipes and the RS232 can be extracted into a an Excel file. We provide the document after the fact and only records flow rate and is not live streaming.

can this be used on Diesel Line to know what quantity we have received from Tanker?

Thank you for your inquiry about the portable flow meter. It can be used to measure diesel fuel and not meant for rubber, concrete, clay, or fiberglass construction of material of pipping. Any other construction of material of pipe such as stainless steel, carbon steel, or PVC is acceptable.

Can this flow meter be used in an application where the pipe that we want to measure flow was submerged in water?

Thank you for your inquiry about the ultrasonic flow meter. Unfortunately, the transducers that wrap or strap around the pipe cannot be submersed in water in general. It will be deemed useless and not transmit any signal.

How do suspended solids in the flow affect the accuracy of this meter?

Thank you for your inquiry about the ultrasonic flow meter. If there is suspended particles greater than 100 microns and 100 ppm in concentration at all times, then, we highly recommend the Doppler style ultrasonic flow meter. If it is intermittently flowing thru the flow meter, it will not hurt the accuracy since it will average the flow when it updates.

While measuring velocities cleaning pipe, can turbulent flow skew velocity readings? While flushing at higher velocities beyond system design, we experience pipe vibration too.
