Supported Applications
The Omega OM-CP-PRTEMP1000IS is an Intrinsically Safe Rugged Pressure and Temperature Recorder, part of the NOMAD® Family. Designed for hazardous environments, this series accurately monitors and records pressure and temperature in air conditioning systems, chilled water, hot water, air, gas, oil, and steam pressure systems.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The recorder operates within an ambient and process temperature range of -40 to 80°C (-40 to 176°F) with a humidity rating of 0 to 100% RH. It utilizes a semiconductor temperature sensor and a rugged stainless steel pressure strain gauge.
- Accuracy: Temperature accuracy is ±0.5°C; Pressure accuracy is 2% FSR, or 0.25% @ 25°C typical.
- Repeatability: ± 0.5% FSR; ± 0.2% typical.
- Response Time: 0.1 ms (10 to 90% FSR).
- Safety Certification: FM Certified Intrinsically Safe for Class I, Division 1 groups A, B, C and D; non-incendive for Class I, Division 2, groups A, B, C and D. CE marked.
Configuration Options
The series supports multiple pressure ranges configured via model suffixes:
- psia Ranges: 0 to 30 psia, 0 to 100 psia, 0 to 300 psia, 0 to 500 psia, 0 to 1000 psia, and 0 to 5000 psia.
- psig Ranges: 0 to 30 psig, 0 to 100 psig, 0 to 300 psig, and 0 to 500 psig.
Data is stored in non-volatile memory with a capacity of up to 16,383 readings. Reading intervals are user-programmable from once every two seconds to once every twelve hours. The device features a common ¼" male NPT process connection and can be adapted to almost any pressure fitting.
Key Product Differences
The OM-CP-PRTEMP1000IS series is distinguished by its intrinsically safe certification for hazardous locations, differentiating it from standard data loggers. The housing material is stainless steel with overall dimensions of 32 x 163 mm (1.25 x 6.4") and a weight of 338 g (12 oz).
Power is supplied by an included 3.6V lithium battery; the OM-CP-BAT102 replacement part number applies for future maintenance. Data retrieval requires an interface cable, such as the OM-CP-IFC200 Windows software and 1.8 m (6') USB interface cable, connecting via PC serial, RS-232C COM or USB at 2400 baud.
Optional configurations include:
- NIST Calibration: Add suffix “-CERT” to the model number for a NIST calibration certificate (temperature only).
- FDA Compliance Package: OM-CP-SVP-SYSTEM provides an FDA 21 CFR part 11 compliant IQ/OQ/PQ secure software validation workbook and software package.
