Supported Applications
The Omega TL-10 series consists of non-reversible OMEGALABEL® temperature indicators designed to confirm exposure to specified temperatures. The indicator turns black when exposed to the designated heat levels, providing a permanent visual record. Documented applications include general use, aeronautical systems, electrical equipment monitoring, and HVAC environments. These labels are also utilized for confirming correct shipping conditions of critical products and testing PC board components.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The TL-10 series operates as a temperature indicator with adhesive backs for mounting on surfaces where size is not a conditioning factor. The indicators function at temperatures above -40°C/°F. Accuracy specifications vary by range: up to 99°C (210°F) accuracy is ±1°C (1.8°F); from 100°C (212°F) to 154°C (309°F), accuracy is ±1.5°C (2.7°F); and from 160°C (320°F) to 280°C (536°F), accuracy is ±1% and ±1°C (1.8°F). The overall dimensions for the TL-10 series are 54 x 18 mm (2.1 x 0.7").
Configuration Options
The TL-10 series provides four distinct temperature range configurations, each containing ten specific set points within a defined span. The available ranges include:
- TL-10-105(*): Covers 105 to 180°F (40 to 82°C) with increments including 105, 110, 115, 120, 130, 140, 150, 160, 170, and 180.
- TL-10-190(*): Covers 190 to 280°F (88 to 138°C) with increments including 190, 200, 210, 220, 230, 240, 250, 260, 270, and 280.
- TL-10-290(*): Covers 290 to 380°F (143 to 193°C) with increments including 290, 300, 310, 320, 330, 340, 350, 360, 370, and 380.
- TL-10-390(*): Covers 390 to 500°F (199 to 260°C) with increments including 390, 400, 410, 420, 435, 450, 465, 480, 490, and 500.
Package sizes are configurable by inserting "-10" for a package of 10 or "-30" for a package of 30 into the model number. The series also offers an alternative configuration with a package size suffix of -1000, as indicated in available variants.
Key Product Differences
The TL-10 series is distinguished from the related TL-8 series by its capacity to display ten temperature range labels per strip compared to eight. While both share similar accuracy classes and adhesive mounting methods, the TL-10 provides a denser set of monitoring points within each specific temperature band (e.g., 170–240°F vs. 190–280°F). The physical dimensions differ slightly between series: the TL-10 measures 54 x 18 mm (2.1 x 0.7") while the TL-8 measures 46 x 18 mm (1.8 x 0.7"). Model numbers follow the format TL-10-<TEMP_RANGE>-<PACKAGE_SIZE>, such as TL-10-190-30.
