poor adhesive. Did not stick to cleaned stainless steel surfaces. Had to apply anothe layer of fiberglass high heat tape to get them to stay in place.

False advertisement - very disappointed
Even now you picture shows a thermocouple with a yellow connector at the end. I ordered the parts thinking that it was connectorized, but received the TCs with bare wire. Very disappointed in Omega.

Excellent measurement device
I’ve been using the Omega self-adhesive thermocouples for several months now in a variety of lab and industrial applications, and they’ve exceeded my expectations every time. The adhesive backing makes installation incredibly quick and easy—no need for clamps or tape, and they stay securely in place even on curved or irregular surfaces.
Accuracy and response time are top-notch, delivering fast and reliable temperature readings. I especially appreciate the compact design, which is perfect for tight spaces or hard-to-reach areas. The build quality is solid, and I haven’t had a single unit fail on me yet, even in high-temperature environments.
Whether you’re doing R&D, maintenance, or long-term monitoring, these thermocouples are a hassle-free and dependable solution. Highly recommended!

If you want to remove and re-apply these thermocouples don't be surprised if junctions break giving false data. For the first application they work well.

In the product details, there is a column called "Minimum Temperature Measurement". The result is in inches.....specifically 36in for the device I ordered. What does that mean?
Thank You for your question.
That is a website error. The length in inches describes the length of the wire being used in for that part in accordance to that part number.
I will submit a ticket in order to have that category title fixed.

are these well insulated electrically, what if these are pasted on high voltage copper bus bars with voltage up to 500V to 1000V are there any other products that for surface mount application that can be used on copper bsubar with 1000V on it.
Hi Amit,
The adhesive pad is electrically insulative but we do not provide a voltage rating. If applied to a surface with potential the leads should be considered to be at the same potential.
Best regards
OMEGA

1. what is the accuracy of SA3-J-SRTC? 2. what is the response time of SA3-J-SRTC? 2 seconds or 0.3 seconds? Thank you
Surface Thermocouple achieves response times of less than 0.15 seconds.

I want to measure the metal tube surface temperature inside a tube in shell heat exchanger (undergraduate lab). The environment would be steam/water up to about 120 degrees C. Will the SA3 thermocouples function in this environment? Other suggestions?
Thank you for your inquiry Rolf. This probe works on wet environments that don't include the full water immersion and powerful water jets.

Can you get this item already attached to a connector for high temperatures?
This would need to be handled by contacting the Temperature Engineering group directly at temp@omega.com.
