deformed tip; inconsistent manufacturing
Three of the 5 devices had unequal lengths of wire emerging at the tip, so when welded the tip junction was pulled to one side and even pulled back a bit. My expectation was that the tip would lay along the central axis of the wire so that I could advance the tip to just touch a surface, and only two devices met that expectation. Better manufacturing control is needed.

Very useful thermocouples
We have used dozens of these thermocouples over the last couple of years. Tjey are very reliable. Unfortunately, they are used in a destructive test and are usually used only once. But we keep coming back for more!

Excellent Product and Excellent Vendor
One of the greatest advantages of ready‑made thermocouples is the significant time savings they provide. Because the junctions arrive pre‑welded and quality‑checked, my team can avoid the additional steps—and potential inconsistencies—associated with in‑house fabrication. This not only streamlines workflow but also improves measurement repeatability across multiple test setups.
All that being said, my order arrived quickly and without any issues. I will definitely purchase from Dwyer Omega in the future!
