Supported Applications

The Omega SCE-SSLP series consists of NEMA Type 4X single-door electrical enclosures constructed from 304 stainless steel. These units are designed to house electrical and electronic controls, instruments, and components in areas that may be regularly hosed down or exposed to very wet conditions. The enclosure provides protection against dust, dirt, oil, and water ingress.

For outdoor applications, a drip shield is recommended alongside the SCE-SSLP series installation.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The housing material for the entire series is 0.075" 304 Stainless Steel. The enclosures meet multiple protection standards:

• NEMA Type 4, 4X, 12 & 13
• UL Listed Type 4, 4X & 12
• CSA Type 4, 4X & 12
• IEC 60529 IP 66

The series offers a broad range of internal dimensions to accommodate various component layouts. Overall external dimensions span from 16.00 to 60.00 inches in height, 12.00 to 36.00 inches in width, and 6.00 to 16.00 inches in depth.

Specific dimensional notes include:

• Dimensions are measured from the inside of the door.
• The SCE-16H1206SSLP model is shown smaller than actual size in documentation illustrations.

Structural Requirements by Size

Enclosures greater than 610 (24) inches in height require a third clamp centered vertically on the door. Sub-panel sizing adjustments are noted as C + 8.1 (.32) for flat sub-panels and C - 4.5 (.18) for bent sub-panels.

Configuration Options

The SCE-SSLP series is available in numerous configurations defined by the model number format: SCE-<HEIGHT>H<WIDTH><DEPTH>6SSLP. The "P" suffix variants listed in specification tables (e.g., SCE-16P12) represent panel dimensions distinct from the enclosure body.

• SCE-20H... through SCE-30H...: Heights increase in increments, offering internal widths up to 30 inches and depths up to 16 inches depending on the specific model code (e.g., SCE-30H2416SSLP).
