Great Product Offering!!
While working with some Omega sensors, I wanted to integrate it in with our HMI system, and was hoping for something with the up to date OPC-UA standard. Didn't see anything, so I dropped an email, and was allowed to be a part of Beta testing for this new software. After a couple rounds of troubleshooting with feedback and some updates of the software, I am happy to say it is up and working very well. Nice software and great support

How will I be informed of software upgrades? Are the upgrades free?
You will receive an email from Omega prompting you to download the newest version of OEG every 2-3 months with bug fixes, additional functionality, and updated features. Our OEG web page will contain the most up-to-date software package for download and it’s free to upgrade to same license.

Is the Omega Enterprise Gateway compatible with OM-USB-2404(4-Channel Analog Voltage Input USB Data Acquisition Modules)?
Thanks for contacting Omega. Unfortunately, OEG is not compatible with OM-USB-2404. This question has been sent to our management team so we can add this compatibility in the future.

Can I download OEG on multiple devices with one license?
If you download OEG onto a main server, any computer on the network can access the data via a web search engine. If OEG is placed on a PC, only that PC will be able to access OEG.

Can the software be configured with user controls and audit trails so that it could be 21CFRPart11 compliant for the pharmaceutical industry?
Hello, thank you for reaching out to us. The OEG is not compliant with the title 21 CFR Part 11 regulation. Unfortunately, OEG does not support electronic signatures at this time.

How do our devices integrate with a PLC?
Omega devices can connect to the PLC via its Ethernet (TCP/IP) port. OEG is installed on a PC and the data from the Omega sensing device is transferred into OEGs database; OEG is always recording data even if PLC is unstable or disconnected. Using the OPC UA/DA protocol, the PLC may then act as a client and request the data from OEG, the virtual server. Additional lines of code are unnecessary with the OPC UA/DA enabled feature of OEG.

Can I send control demands from OEG to controllers?
OEG is only setup to display and record your process information and is incapable of sending commands to your process. For process control, consider one of our controllers that can send control outputs as well as provide the data to OEG.
