Supported Applications

The Dwyer Gage Tubing Accessories series provides tubing solutions for use with pressure sensors and manometers. Specific documented applications include test scenarios where fluid entry into the tubing is possible, portable work requiring reduced kinking tendency, and installations using Mark II manometers or Wind Speed Indicators.

Additional supported uses involve aiding installation in multi-line setups through color-coded identification, building automation systems, and air-conditioning and ventilating plenum spaces meeting NFPA standard 90A. The series also supports permanent installations requiring high stability and corrosion resistance.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The tubing materials in this series operate across a wide range of temperatures depending on the specific material selected. Norprene® tubing is useful from -75 to 275°F (-60 to 135°C) and resists weakening after long-term exposure to heat and ozone. Black nylon tubing operates from -40 to 248°F (-40 to 120°C).

Pressure ratings vary by model, material, and temperature conditions:

• Norprene® (A-200): 13 psi maximum pressure @ 73°F (90 kPa @ 23°C) or 10 psi maximum pressure @ 73°F (69 kPa @ 23°C).
• Clear PVC (A-203): 60 psi max. pressure @ 73°F (22°C).
• Flexible vinyl (A-220, A-221, A-222): Ratings include 45 psi maximum pressure @ 73°F (310 kPa @ 23°C), 40 psi maximum pressure @ 165°F (276 kPa @ 74°C), and 35 psi maximum pressure @ 73°F (240 kPa @ 23°C).
• Colored vinyl (A-204): 45 psi maximum pressure @ 165°F (310 kPa @ 74°C).
• Black polyethylene (A-223): 200 psi maximum @ 140°F (1379 kPa @ 60°C).
• Plenum fire retardant polyethylene: 100 psig maximum pressure @ 75°F (689 kPa @ 24°C).
• Aluminum tubing (A-210, A-211): 500 psi maximum pressure @ 200°F (3447 kPa @ 93°C).

Configuration Options

The series offers multiple wetted materials including Norprene®, rubber latex, clear PVC, flexible vinyl, double column plastic, colored vinyl, black polyethylene, black nylon, plenum fire retardant polyethylene, and aluminum. Model numbers follow the A- format (e.g., A-200-1, A-204-A).

Material-Specific Features

• Norprene®: Available in 50' lengths with IDs of 3/16" or 1/4".
• Rubber latex: Designed for portable work; available as A-201 (9') and A-202 (lengths to 50').
• Clear PVC & Flexible Vinyl: Easily inspected for fluid presence; lengths up to 500' or 750'. Includes double column plastic with a light gray body and red color code stripe.
• Colored Vinyl: Opaque blue, white, or black options (A-204-A/B/C) for line identification; lengths up to 500'.
• Black Polyethylene & Nylon: Offers long life and corrosion resistance; nylon recommended for high temperature/pressure applications.
• Plenum Fire Retardant Polyethylene: Meets NFPA standard 90A; available in .17" ID or 1/4" OD configurations up to 500' lengths.
• Aluminum: Recommended for permanent installations; offered in 5' and 50' lengths with 1/4" OD.

Key Product Differences

Variants within the series are distinguished by material composition, internal diameter (ID), outer diameter (OD), length availability, color coding, and maximum pressure ratings at specific temperatures. For example, flexible vinyl tubing is available in clear or colored opaque finishes to aid installation where multiple lines exist. Aluminum tubing differs from polymer options with a rigid construction rated for 500 psi maximum pressure @ 200°F (3447 kPa @ 93°C), whereas rubber latex and Norprene® are optimized for flexibility and storage characteristics.
