Supported Applications

The ACI DLP Series is a differential low pressure transmitter based on a piezoresistive, silicon sensing element. It provides an analog output and features field-selectable ranges for uni- or bi-directional measurement from 0 to 40" of water column (inWC). The series is intended for use with non-corrosive, non-ionic gases, such as air and other dry gases.

Documented applications include:

Operating Conditions & Performance

The DLP Series operates within a process temperature range of -4 to 185°F (-20 to 85°C) and an ambient compensated temperature range of 32 to 122°F (0 to 50°C). Storage is supported from -22 to 185°F (-30 to 85°C), with operating humidity rated at 10 to 95% RH, non-condensing. The response time is specified as 4 seconds for a 0-100% FSO change.

Performance specifications include an accuracy of +/- 0.50% FSO (including linearity, hysteresis & repeatability @ 71°F / 21.5°C) and thermal effects of +/- 0.067% FSO / °F (0.12% FSO / °C). Pressure limits vary by model family:

• A/DLP-001: Proof pressure 270 inWC (67.2 kPa); Burst pressure 415 inWC (103.3 kPa) for a 1 inWC range.
• A/DLP-010: Proof pressure 350 inWC (87.12 kPa); Burst pressure 550 inWC (136.9 kPa) for a 10 inWC range.
• A/DLP-040: Proof pressure 562 inWC (140 kPa); Burst pressure 1004.7 inWC (250 kPa) for a 40 inWC range.

The enclosure is constructed of Flame Retardant Polycarbonate with a UL94-5VA rating and includes finger push-button terminal blocks accepting 16-24 AWG wires. Conduit knockouts accept watertight cordgrips or 1/2" NPT conduit fittings.

Configuration Options

The series supports field-selectable analog outputs of 0-5 VDC, 0-10 VDC, or 4-20 mA. Each unit offers up to eight selectable uni-directional (e.g., 0-0.1" inWC) or bi-directional ranges (e.g., ±0.1" inWC). Power supply requirements depend on the output signal:

• 4-20 mA Output: 16-36 VDC (max 250 Ohm load), 22-36 VDC (max 500 Ohm load), or 24 VAC (+/-10%) 50/60 Hz.
• 0-5 VDC / 0-10 VDC Output: 15-36 VDC into > 5K Ohm load, or 24 VAC (+/- 10%), 50/60 Hz.

The series is available with the following configuration options:

• Display: Optional five-digit LCD for installation and monitoring support (models ending in -D-).
• Pitot Tube: Available as an accessory or included option, including DLP Duct Static (Aluminum), Velocity Pitot Tubes with foam gaskets, and various lengths.
• Mounting: Optional 35 mm Din Rail Clip for panel mounting.
• Pickup Ports: Compatible accessories include wall-mounted stainless plate or plastic enclosures, as well as outdoor weatherproof Euro enclosures (horizontal or vertical mount).

Wetted materials are Nickel Plated Brass or Stainless Steel. The unit features a hinged cover with an integrated locking tab for access to the zero function and field-selectable ranges.

Key Product Differences

The DLP Series is organized into three primary model families based on maximum pressure capability, each supporting specific uni- or bi-directional range sets:

• A/DLP-001-W: Supports ranges 0-0.1", 0-0.2", 0-0.5", 0-1" and ±0.1", ±0.2", ±0.5", ±1".
• A/DLP-010-W: Supports ranges 0-1", 0-2", 0-5", 0-10" and ±1", ±2", ±5", ±10".
• A/DLP-040-W: Supports ranges 0-10", 0-20", 0-30", 0-40" and ±10", ±20", ±30", ±40".

Model numbers indicate the presence of an LCD display (D) or its absence (N), as well as included accessories such as a Pitot Tube (PT*) and Din Rail Clip (DRC*). For example, model A/DLP-010-W-U-D-A-3 includes the 5-digit LCD, Pitot Tube, and Din Rail Clip for the 0-10" range family. The series is covered by ACI's Five-Year Limited Warranty.
