The LVCN414 Series is a non-contact, ultrasonic level controller and transmitter that delivers reliable, cost-effective, high-performance, small-tank fluid handling control solutions. The LVCN414 targets process, control and chemical feed applications in small tanks mounted on skids, tools or machines. The LVCN414 allows flexibility in applications designed for system integration or retrofit of floats, conductance, and pressure sensors, and is easily configured through a USB connection and the Windows XP compatible software download available free at omega.com/ftp. The LVCN414 gives precision and accuracy that allows for real-time/ anytime measurement, lowering operational costs and increasing productivity. Level indication for process or control automation applications can be monitored via local display or remote PLC. The LVCN414 is a total small tank level control and measurement solution.

Would this sensor be suited to measure the level of granular material in a bin, for example flour? The users manual only mentions liquid.
Thank you for your inquiry about the level sensor. Unfortunately, it is only for liquids and the LR36, LR41, snd LR46 level sensor series can measure solids.

The user manual mentions ensuring the senser is compatible with liquids in the small tank its measuring, but does not define compatibility. Is this family of sensers compatible with soda-ash solutions (Sodium Carbonate) or sodium-hypochlorite solutions?
Thank you for your inquiry. Please note that chemical compatibility is the responsibility of custmers to check the media in question against the wetted materials of the produtc. As a courtesy, the sensor is made of PVDF and chemically compatible.

Can this sensor be used in an attached stilling well?
Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, it can and make sure the diameter of the pipe is larger than the beam width.

Is the configuration software compatible with Windows 10 64 bits?
Thank you for your inquiry. The follow is the requirement to use and if not listed, then, may not work.
LVCN414‐SW Software System Requirements Windows® 2000, XP, Vista, 7, 8 32 or 64‐bit system 1 USB® 2.0 port 10 mB hard drive space 256 mB RAM Internet connection

Can this device be set to fail high to 21 mA when looses contact with liquid surface or tank bottom? I've set it to do this but it never outputs 21mA.
Thank you for your inquiry! If the LVCN414-V is being used then this capability is not available. The voltage output models (-V) are only capable of the full, empty, or hold last loop fail-safe settings. With the standard current output models this overfill condition could be set to have the current output go to 21 or 22 mA when the return signal is lost.
