The MCJ converts thermocouple voltages into 0°C referenced signals, for use with DMM’s, voltage recorders and other electronic devices. The signals from the MCJ can be converted to temperatures, using the standard temperature-mV tables.

Features
High Stability Design
±1°C stability over entire 10 to 45°C operating range is assured through the computer designed solid state circuit.

Compact Size
Weight < 2 oz (57 g), and Dimensions: 75 H x 25 W x 13 mm D (2.94 x 1 x 0.5")

Convenient
The MCJ is compatible with any standard thermocouple connector or jack use ordinary copper wire to connect from the MCJ to any instrumentation for precise ice point referenced readings with the standard adaptor pins, the MCJ can be used as either a female or male connector.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Functional, but two physical aspects need redesign These are reliable once they're installed, but the rotary switch and the battery well beneath it are very poorly designed - the battery's diameter is much smaller than the well it goes into, which means trying to situate it in the center while screwing the rotary knob onto it is a balancing act; the knob itself is crudely-fashioned, very difficult to turn, and inexact in its positioning. The worst aspect - perhaps because it would be the simplest to design properly - are the fasteners beneath the cover at the base. The screw travel once the threads finally engage is extremely short, which means attempting to connect anything but the tiniest wire gauge is going to get you stripped threads, leaving soldering directly to the holes the only remaining connection method - a whole lot of additional work nobody needs. I would be much happier to pay a little more for a reasonably-robust design. The current design reminds me of a '70s-era children's toy - a real chore to install without destroying, and needlessly delicate in normal usage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very good perfomance of ice point I bought a miniature electronic ice point a month ago, and then all the measurments in the lab are well controlled
