High Temperature Thermal Paste designed for continuous use up to 200°C (392°F). It offers extremely high thermal conductivity and adheres effectively to most surfaces, making it ideal for applications requiring efficient heat transfer and removable sensor adhesion. Suitable for various high-temperature environments.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Good Thermal Conductivity. The product was easy to apply (Not quite as thick as typical peanut butter - never tried it on bread though). I was hoping it would be thicker and provide some mechanical strength to hold the thermocouple in place, but that's not quite the case. I ended up using polyimide high temperature tape to hold the thermocouple in place. A dab larger than, say, a 1/8" sphere, might drip if on the gravity side of a surface parallel to the earth (Upside down) It seemed to work well to get the temperature of the material I was measuring to saturate the thermocouple device. The product is good, but I may look for something similar to epoxy if I can remove it easier than epoxy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I used this on a mini Molder and Extruder and it is all it says it is. The temperature response on the J type sensors was more steady on units.

What is the thermal conductivity of the paste? In the table, you have specified Thermal conductivity 16 kBTU in/(hr ft 2 °F). In the manual pdf, the Thermal conductivity specified there is 16 BTU in/(hr ft 2 °F). Which one is right?

Asked by: Alex88
The correct Thermal Conductivity value is 16 BTU in/(HR ft 2 F) for the OT-201.

Is this paste available in a smaller box? The 16oz seems to be too much for my application and a lot of it would be wasted. The website says that the paste is available in 1/2 and 2 oz jars. But I did not find a option to select it

Asked by: ad09
Thank you for your inquiry ad09. Unfortunately, the smaller quantities of the OB-201 have been discontinued. The only size we currently offer is the 16 oz.

I see that our container has an expiration date. Can you clarify what properties of the paste change or lessen after the expiration date? (in other words, does it get stiffer, get less conductive, etc?)

Asked by: SapFlow_user
Thank you for your inquiry. If material is properly stored, there should be no loss of performance or properties past the expiration date. We do not have any test data to determine if there will be any physical changes, except maybe the material can dry out. Prior to the expiration date the OT-201-1/2 will meet all the published specifications.
