Series-225-227-228

The Series-225-227-228 flanged dead-band level control line from Dwyer is engineered for demanding industrial applications in refineries, chemical plants, power generation and hydraulic systems. With a robust flanged chamber design and adjustable dead-band capability, these models deliver flexible level monitoring and control across high pressures and temperatures. 

Construction features include a heavy-duty side-mounted chamber (flanged or socket-weld as required) with carbon-steel or optional 316 stainless steel body. The chamber accepts fluids with minimum specific gravity of ~0.75 and supports pressure ratings up to ~1000 psi (at ~100 °F) depending on variant and flange class. Process temperatures to ~475 °F (246 °C) further expand the usable envelope. 

Operational flexibility is embedded in the design. The dead-band between actuating and reset levels can be adjusted in 12″ increments (12 ″, 24 ″, 36 ″, 48 ″) to match pump-cycling or alarm-triggering requirements. Users can select single-stage action (e.g., pump on/off) or two-stage action (e.g., pump control + high/low alarm or shutdown) based on process control needs. 

Switching options include SPDT, DPDT or hermetically sealed snap-action or mercury contacts. A full selection of enclosures is available—from general-purpose (NEMA 1) to weather-tight (NEMA 4/4X) and explosion-proof/vapor-proof (NEMA 7/9) ratings. Electrical circuits cover a wide range of voltages and contact arrangements via model charts.
