Supported Applications

The Omega ICIN-DUAL series consists of Dual Element Thermocouple Assemblies with Standard Size Connectors. These assemblies are manufactured using 4-conductor OMEGACLAD™ wire and feature rugged DTC connector terminations. Documented applications include two sensor readings with built-in backup, two readings of a single point, and continuous monitor and control.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series meets or exceeds Special Limits of Error (SLE) and EN 60584-2, Tolerance Class 1. The glass-filled nylon connector body is rated to 220°C (425°F). Standard overall length for the probes is 300 mm (12"). Sheath diameters range from 1.5 to 6.0 mm (1/16" to 1/4").

Configuration Options

The ICIN-DUAL series supports a broad configuration envelope across thermocouple alloys, sheath materials, junction types, and special service options.

  • Thermocouple Alloys: IRON-CONSTANTAN (Type J), CHROMEGA™-ALOMEGA™ (Type K), CHROMEGA CONSTANTAN (Type E), and COPPER-CONSTANTAN (Type T).
  • Sheath Materials: 304 SS, Inconel®, or Super OMEGACLAD™ XL Sheath. To order with 310, 316, or 321 stainless steel sheaths, change 'SS' in the model number to '310SS', '316SS', or '321SS' respectively.
  • Junction Types: Grounded (G), Ungrounded (U), and Exposed (E).
  • Diameters: 1.5 mm (1/16"), 3.0 mm (1/8"), 4.5 mm (3/16"), and 6.0 mm (1/4").
  • Connector Type: DTC Type Dual Connector.
  • Special Options: PFA coating is available with a maximum temperature of 205°C (400°F). Custom connector types are available upon consultation with custom engineering. To order Super OMEGACLAD XL sheath, change 'N' in the model number to 'XL'.

Accessories including mating connectors and cable clamps are sold separately.

Key Product Differences

The series distinguishes variants by thermocouple alloy code (IC for Type J, CA for Type K, CX for Type E, CP for Type T), sheath material designation ('IN' for Inconel®, 'SS' for 304 SS, or specific grades like '316SS'), and junction type suffixes. Model numbers follow the format: Thermocouple Alloy - Sheath Dia. mm (inch) - Junction Type.

Specific mating connector model numbers vary by alloy:

  • Type J (IRON-CONSTANTAN): DTC-J-F
  • Type K (CHROMEGA™-ALOMEGA™): DTC-K-F
  • Type E (CHROMEGA CONSTANTAN): DTC-E-F
  • Type T (COPPER-CONSTANTAN): DTC-T-F
The cable clamp model number PCLM-DTC is consistent across all rows.
