Supported Applications
The OM-CP-THERMOVAULTX Series is an oven temperature recorder that consists of an OM-CP-QUADTCTEMP or OM-CP-OCTTCTEMP inside a thermal enclosure. The thermal enclosure acts as a buffer and allows the device to be placed in higher operating environments for certain durations of time, so the logger can travel through a heated process while protecting the electronics inside.
It is an oven temperature profiling device for applications such as powder coating cure ovens, wet coating cure ovens, batch ovens, and conveyor ovens. Because it is reusable, conveniently sized and ships with Type K thermocouples and a power supply, it suits repeated profiling runs where temperature uniformity and cure schedules must be verified across multiple points in the oven.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The internal channels measure over a range of -20 °C to +60 °C (-4 °F to +140 °F) with a temperature resolution of 0.01 °C (0.018 °F) and a calibrated accuracy of ±0.5 °C (0 °C to 50 °C). Remote thermocouple channels accept types J, K, T, E, R, S, B, N with automatic cold junction compensation based on the internal channel and automatic thermocouple linearization.
The supported thermocouple ranges are -210 °C to +760 °C (J-type), -270 °C to +1370 °C (K-type), -270 °C to +400 °C (T-type), -270 °C to +980 °C (E-type), -50 °C to +1760 °C (R-type), -50 °C to +1760 °C (S-type), +50 °C to +1820 °C (B-type) and -270 °C to +1300 °C (N-type). Accuracy is ±0.5 °C for the J, K, T, E and N types and ±2.0 °C for the R, S and B types.

The logger is built in a stainless steel housing with a female subminiature (SMP) thermocouple connection, powered by a 9V lithium battery that is included and user replaceable, with digital calibration through software and the calibration date automatically recorded within the device. Compatible operating systems are Windows XP SP3/7/8/10.
Configuration Options
The series is offered in a 4-channel and an 8-channel configuration, both of which share the same internal and remote channel performance and both ship with 72 inch type K thermocouples, a USB-A to micro USB cable and a universal power adapter. The two configurations differ chiefly in channel count, on-board memory per channel and weight.
- 4-channel: 524,032 readings per channel; weight 8.85 lb (4.01 kg).
- 8-channel: 262,016 readings per channel; weight 8.98 lb (4.07 kg).
Both configurations provide 1 LED per channel plus 2 status LEDs, and the maximum exposure time of the thermal enclosure depends on ambient temperature, ranging from 110 minutes at 100 °C (212 °F) down to 25 minutes at 350 °C (662 °F). Capability-changing options and accessories include Type K thermocouples, a universal power adapter, the USB-A to micro USB cable and a replacement 9V lithium battery (OM-CP-BAT103).
