The Omega RTD-831 Series is a rugged, bolt-on RTD sensor engineered for surface temperature measurement with superior durability and precision. Featuring a 3-wire platinum RTD element (PT100 or PT1000) conforming to IEC 60751 Class A or B, this RTD sensor delivers dependable performance across two temperature ranges: standard (-60 °C to 230 °C; -76 °F to 446 °F) and high-temperature (-60 °C to 450 °C; -76 °F to 842 °F).

Its aluminum flag housing is machined to accept multiple screw sizes (#3, #4 standard; options for #5, #6, #8), allowing the sensor to be either bolted or cemented onto flat surfaces. The improved barrel and aluminum housing design offer enhanced strain relief, helping reduce mechanical fatigue and improve thermal transfer.

Connection flexibility is built in: choose from miniature or standard 3-pin connectors (-MTP, -OTP), stripped leads (-SE), or spade lug terminations (-LUG). Standard models ship with 1-meter PFA-coated leads; “-HT” high-temperature versions use fiberglass leads with stainless steel over-braid for greater environmental resilience.

Ideal for demanding applications like HVAC surface monitoring, process pipe temperature control, hot plate equipment, or product performance testing, the RTD-831 RTD sensor delivers both precision and durability in challenging environments. Backed by the Omega legacy of engineering quality and global support, it’s a reliable solution for end-users, integrators and OEMs seeking accurate surface temperature measurement.
