Supported Applications

The Omega TL series comprises non-reversible temperature-indicating labels designed for monitoring and documenting temperature exposure. Documented applications include food transport, medical supplies, and industrial dishwashing. The Triple Level Thermal Disinfection Indicator (TDI) models are specifically engineered to withstand extreme conditions within an industrial dishwasher to provide permanent proof that a rated temperature has been reached.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series provides irreversible color change upon reaching specified temperature thresholds. Accuracy is documented as ±1°C or ±1°F depending on the specific model family. The TL-E 8-dot linear labels cover ranges from 41°C (105°F) to 71°C (160°F), extending up to 210°C (410°F) to 260°C (500°F). Change of state occurs after a short duration, not exceeding five minutes. For the TDI series, shelf life is 12 months from the invoice date when stored at room temperature and humidity [i.e., 21°C (70°F) and 50% relative humidity].

• TL-E Series: Available in five model ranges: TL-E-105, TL-E-170, TL-E-250, TL-E-330, and TL-E-410.
• TL-C5 Series (Round): Covers 8 temperature levels from °C 40 to °C 260 in five-dot increments.
• TL-CC Series (Low Temp): Indicates temperatures from -17°C (+1°F) to +20°C (+68°F).
• T.D.I.: Triple-level thermal disinfection indicators for industrial dishwashers.

Configuration Options

The series includes self-adhesive labels with acrylic adhesive and a clear polyester carrier film for the TDI models, which feature non-toxic white crystalline melt material coated on a black absorbent backing. The TL-CC series utilizes blue print onto a white background.

Ordering Options

• Packaging: Standard packages of 10 are available for most models; add suffix '-30' to the model number for a package of 30 (e.g., TL-E-170-30).
• T.D.I. Packaging: Model TL-TI-5 contains 25 labels per pack; Model TL-TI-3 contains 50 labels per pack.

Key Product Differences

Differentiation within the bundle is based on form factor and measurement range:

• TL-E Series (8-Dot Linear): Features eight distinct dots indicating specific temperature steps. Models are designated by their starting or representative temperature (e.g., TL-E-170 covers 77°C to 116°C).
• TL-C5 Series (Round, 5-Dot): Circular labels with five indication levels.
• TL-CC Series: Designed for low-temperature monitoring (-17°C to +20°C) and features a circular form factor distinct from the linear TL-E series.
• T.D.I. (Triple Level): Specifically configured with three levels of indication for thermal disinfection verification, differing in construction material (polyester carrier vs. paper backing) and application method compared to standard labels.
