Supported Applications
The Dwyer Series DCT500ADC Timer Controller is a timing system designed for pulse-jet type dust collectors or pneumatic conveying systems. It supports both continuous and on-demand cleaning applications.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The controller operates within an ambient temperature range of -40 to 149°F (-40 to 65°C) per the installation manual, with a storage temperature limit of -40 to 176°F (-40 to 80°C). It is rated for indoor use and must be installed in a weather-proof enclosure for outside applications. The unit functions at altitudes up to 6560 ft (2000 m) max under humidity conditions of 5 to 95% noncondensing.
Timing performance includes an On Time range of 50 to 500 msec with a repeatability of ±1 msec and stability of < ±1 ms. The Off Time ranges from 1 to 180 seconds. Power requirements are 10 to 35 VDC (⎓) with a power consumption of 0.6 W.
Configuration Options
The series is available in configurations providing 4, 6, or 10 output channels. Each channel supports a maximum load of 3A per channel and includes internal fuse protection (Type 3 AG, 3A @ 250 VAC). The controller features high-limit and low-limit control inputs for on-demand systems; in continuous mode, the high-limit input is jumpered.
Electrical connections utilize a "Euro" style connector system at the lower edge of the board. This terminal block accepts wire sizes from 14 to 22 gages and should be torqued to 5 in. lb. The control circuitry, including control inputs, is isolated from line voltage.
Available options include:
- -L: Mounting bracket for field retrofits (8-1/4" x 6-1/4")
- -WP: Weatherproof housing, available as a standard model or with the -L mounting bracket option
Key Product Differences
The series includes three primary models distinguished by channel count: DCT504ADC (4 channels), DCT506ADC (6 channels), and DCT510ADC (10 channels). All units share the same physical dimensions of 6-1/4" x 4-1/4" x 4-7/8" [158.75 mm x 107.95 mm x 123.83 mm] and weigh 9 oz (255 g). For installations requiring fewer channels than available on the board, a shorting plug is provided to select the last used channel.
