Supported Applications

The Dwyer Series 610 Low Differential Pressure Transmitters detect differential pressure and convert the difference to a proportional electrical output for unidirectional or bi-directional pressure. The series is designed specifically for clean rooms, isolation rooms, and other critical environments where accurate and reliable pressure monitoring is essential.

These transmitters measure air or similar non-conducting gases at high resolutions, with ranges available as low as 0.1" w.c. full-scale.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The Series 610 operates within an ambient temperature range of -20 to 160°F (-29 to 71°C). The pressure limit is rated at 2 psi (0.137 bar), and the thermal effect on performance is specified as 0.5% FS.

Performance specifications include:

  • Accuracy: ±0.25% or ±0.5% F.S., depending on model selection.
  • Stability: ±0.5%/yr.
  • Response Time: 0.02 to 0.04 seconds.

The unit requires a power supply of 13.5 to 30 VDC and provides a standard output signal of 4 to 20 mA with a maximum loop resistance of 800 Ω max. Current consumption is listed as 25 mA.

Configuration Options

The Series 610 offers configurable options for mounting, display presence, and accuracy class across its model range. The enclosure material is fire retardant ABS with a vertical mounting orientation requirement.

  • Housing & Mounting: Available in base mount or DIN rail mount configurations.
  • Process Connections: 3/16" O.D. barbed brass fittings on removable process heads facilitate installation and maintenance.
  • Electrical Connections: Detachable screw terminal connectors allow for easy wiring access.
  • Display Options: Models are available with or without an LCD display; specific accessories include a Process Head with LCD display (A-617) and a Process Head without display (A-616).

Calibration is performed using an external security key pendant. The A-165 Security Key allows the user to set zero and span, with one key functioning across multiple transmitters. Zero may be adjusted by pressing the cal button while applying zero differential pressure; fine adjustment can be made via encoder rotation if needed.

Optional accessories include a NIST traceable calibration certificate (NISTCAL-PT1).

Key Product Differences

The series distinguishes models by accuracy class, display inclusion, and mounting style through specific model number suffixes:

  • Accuracy Class: Models with ±0.5% FS accuracy typically end in the letter 'E'. For 0.25% accuracy models, change the last letter from 'E' to 'V'.
  • Mounting Style: Base mount models contain the letter 'B' in their designation. For DIN rail mount models, change the letter 'B' to 'D'.

The model number guide follows the format 610-RANGE-DISPLAY-MOUNTING. Examples include 610-01D-BDE (with display, base mount) and 610-01D-BNE (without display, base mount). The series supports both unidirectional ranges (e.g., 0.1" to 25") and bi-directional ranges (indicated by the ± symbol in model codes such as 'C' for ±1" or ±25").
