Supported Applications
The Omega OM-DAQXL Series consists of 8 or 16 channel universal input touch screen data loggers designed for standalone operation. These units support a wide range of measurement types including thermocouples, RTDs, thermistors, strain gauges, DC voltage, DC current, and frequency/pulse inputs. The series features IoT/cloud connectivity via OPC UA/DA and MQTT protocols on models equipped with Ethernet or Wi-Fi capabilities.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The OM-DAQXL Series operates within an ambient temperature range of 0 to 50°C (32 to 122°F) at 0 to 95% RH non-condensing. Measurement accuracy varies by input type and range:
- Thermocouples: J, K, T, E types offer ±(0.15% of range + 1.7°C) at positive ranges (above -49°C) and ±(0.25% of range + 2.6°C) at negative ranges (-50°C to -200°C). N, R, S, B, C types offer ±(0.15% of range + 2.0°C) at positive ranges and ±(0.25% of range + 2.6°C) at negative ranges.
- Thermistors: Accuracy is specified as ±1°C for both 225Ω/10 KΩ (-30 to 150°C) and 10 KΩ (-5 to 150°C) types, with a resolution of 0.1°C.
- RTDs: Pt 100, Pt 500, and Pt 1000 sensors (0.00385 curve: -200 to 850°C; 0.00392 curve: -200 to 660°C) provide ±(0.25% of reading + 1°C) accuracy with 0.1°C resolution.
- DC Voltage: Ranges from 50 mV (-50 to 50 mV) up to 50V (-30.00 to 30.00V). Accuracy is ±0.1% of FS for ranges up to 20V, and ±0.1V for the 50V range.
- DC Current: The 20 mA range (-20 to 20 mA) offers ±0.1% of FS accuracy.
- Frequency/Pulse: Inputs support 0 to 250 KHz with an accuracy of ±2 Hz.
The series provides 24-bit analog input resolution and supports sampling rates up to 125 samples/sec per channel. Maximum logging rates depend on the number of active channels: 1 Channel at 125 s/sec, 2 Channels at 50 s/sec, 4 Channels at 25 s/sec, 8 Channels at 10 s/sec, and 16 Channels at 5 s/sec.
Power & Storage
The unit is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery (7.2V @ 4.8 Ah) providing 4 to 8 hours of operation based on display settings, or via an AC adaptor (12 Vdc @ 5A). Data storage includes 1 GB internal memory, with expansion options for up to 32 GB SD cards and 32 GB USB drives.
