The DP8891 Series is a waterproof handheld digital thermometer built for temperature monitoring in environments where splashes, wash-downs, and brief immersion are part of everyday work. With an IP67 waterproof rating on both the meter and the connected probe, it suits food service and food processing checks, laboratory and quality-control sampling, HVAC and plumbing verification, and general field measurement where a rugged, easy-to-read instrument is needed.

A super-large LCD and C/F switchable display make readings quick to take and easy to record, while the stainless steel thermistor probe on a flexible silicone cable reaches into liquids, semi-solids, and confined spaces. Because the unit can be handheld or wall-mounted with the included probe holder and mounting hardware, it works equally well as a portable spot-checker or a fixed station instrument.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The DP8891 measures temperature over a range of -10 to 110°C (14 to 230°F) using a precision thermistor probe, resolving readings to 0.1°C (0.1°F) with an accuracy of ±1°C (±1.6°F). The display refreshes on a 10 seconds update cycle, and the sensor settles to a typical response time of about two minutes for a stable reading.

The instrument is rated for operation from 0 to 50°C (32 to 122°F) and storage from -20 to 50°C (-4 to 122°F), with operating humidity below 80% RH and storage humidity below 90% RH. The stainless steel probe handle is heat resistant to 100°C and the silicone cable to 150°C, protecting the assembly in warm process conditions. Its IP67 enclosure lets the meter and probe withstand temporary water immersion when connected, so a spill or rinse will not put the reading at risk.

Configuration Options

The DP8891 Series is offered as a single, fully specified meter configuration, so every unit shares the same waterproof housing, thermistor input, and switchable °C/°F display without optional feature tiers to choose between.

Where the lineup differs is in the sensing element rather than the meter: the thermistor probe is a field-replaceable component. This lets users refresh the measuring probe over the instrument's life without replacing the meter, keeping a single, consistent user experience across the series while allowing the wetted sensor to be serviced as a wear part.
