The Omega PR-26 Series consists of vibration-resistant and bendable RTD (Pt100 or Pt1000) probes designed for temperature measurement in environments subject to mechanical stress. These integral connector probes feature an all-welded 316L stainless steel housing, providing a robust solution where standard rigid sensors may be susceptible to failure from shock or vibration.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The PR-26 series operates across a process temperature range of -50 to 500°C (-58 to 932°F). The sensing end is rated for temperatures up to 250°C (-58 to 482°F) within this envelope. Accuracy performance adheres to IEC Class A and IEC Class B standards, with specific tolerances of ±0.15°C @ 0°C (Up to 300°C) and ±0.30°C @ 0°C (300 to 500°C).
These probes are vibration tested to MIL-STD-202G, Method 204D, Test Condition A, enduring 10g's from 10 to 500 Hz for units 6" long or shorter. The standard probe diameter is ¼", with a minimum overall length of 2½".

The PR-26 series offers extensive configurability to match specific installation geometries and electrical requirements. The probes feature an integral 4-Pin M12 Connector for direct connection, eliminating the need for separate junction boxes in many applications.
Configurable Options
- Sensor Elements: Available with Pt100 or Pt1000 elements; Class A and Class B accuracy options are supported depending on model selection.
- Mounting Threads: Models include ¼ NPT, ⅜ NPT, and ½ NPT mounting threads. Variants without a mounting thread (None) are also available for direct insertion or custom clamping.
- Diameters: Standard configurations utilize a ¼" diameter; variants with an 1/8" diameter are listed in the series inventory.
- Lengths: While standard catalog models often list lengths such as 6.00 inches, custom insertion lengths are supported by modifying the model number (e.g., changing "0600" to "0900" for a 9" length).
- Bendability: Probes are bendable after the first 2½" of the probe tip. A minimum suggested bend radius is 2x the probe diameter.
Cabling and Accessories
The series supports separate cable options for extension or replacement, including:

Wiring Configurations
The standard wiring configuration is indicated by the suffix "-1" in the model number. An alternative option 2 wiring configuration is available, designated by changing the suffix to "-2", with no additional charge.
Key Product Differences
Variants within the PR-26 series are distinguished primarily by their mounting thread type and sensor element specifications. The model number structure follows the pattern: PR-<Series>-<Element>-<Length>-<Diameter>-<Mounting Thread>-<Connector>.
Model Number Distinctions
- A Series: Models such as PR-26A denote probes with no mounting thread (None).
- B, C, D Series: These prefixes correspond to specific NPT threads: B indicates ½ NPT, C indicates ⅜ NPT, and D indicates ¼ NPT.
The series supports both Pt100 (e.g., PR-26A-3-100-A) and Pt1000 (e.g., PR-26A-3-1000-A) elements. Accuracy class is embedded in the model code, with "A" representing IEC Class A and "B" representing IEC Class B.
For lengths other than 6", users must modify the length segment of the part number (e.g., "0900" for 9") which incurs additional cost per inch greater than 6". The standard minimum overall length is 2½".
