Supported Applications
The Omega SA2 Series consists of self-adhesive silicone molded surface thermocouples designed for temperature measurement on both curved and flat surfaces. The series features an ultra-slim silicone rubber construction with a self-adhesive foil backing to facilitate installation.
- Curved surface sensing (SA2C style)

Operating Conditions & Performance
The SA2 Series operates within a temperature range of -50 to 200°C (-58 to 392°F). The sensors utilize ultra-slim silicone rubber housing, which provides resistance to a variety of chemicals and oils. The self-adhesive foil backing is documented to provide faster response time compared to non-adhesive configurations.
Configuration Options
Sensor Styles and Dimensions
- SA2C (Curved Surface): 15 x 50 mm (0.59 x 1.97") with a thickness of 2.5 mm (0.098").
- SA2F (Flat Surface): 35 x 12 mm (1.38 x 0.47") with a thickness of 2.5 mm (0.098").
Sensor Types and Lead Wire
The series is available in Type J, K, T, and E thermocouple types, which are color-coded for instant recognition. Standard electrical connections feature stripped leads using 24 AWG stranded thermocouple-grade wire.
- Standard lead lengths: 1 m (40")
- Extended lead lengths available: 2 m (80"), 3 m (120")
Connector Options
In addition to standard stripped leads, the series supports optional connectors:
- SMPW-CC ultimate mini male connector
- OSTW-CC ultimate connector
- M8/M12 connectors (Male straight M8 plug 'M8-S-M', Male right-angled M8 plug 'M8-R-M', Male straight M12 plug 'M12-S-M')
Customization and Accessories
The series supports additional lead wire increments of 300 mm (12") at an added cost. Model numbers follow the format SA2C-Type-Length-Connector or SA2F-Type-Length-Connector.

The primary distinction within the series is between the two physical styles: SA2C for curved surfaces and SA2F for flat surfaces. Both styles share identical temperature ranges, material properties (ultra-slim silicone rubber), chemical resistance profiles, and available thermocouple types (J, K, T, E).
