Supported Applications

The OMEGAFLEX™ Polypropylene Tubing (Series TYPP) is a tough, heat-resistant tubing designed for the transfer of hot liquids or gases. The series is recommended for low-pressure systems and applications where higher temperatures are encountered. It offers good compatibility with acids and alkalies.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The tubing operates within a service temperature range of -40 to 121°C (-40 to 250°F). Constructed from Polypropylene, the material exhibits a nominal durometer of 75 (D) measured at 15 seconds and has a specific gravity of 0.90. Mechanical properties include a tensile strength of 3700 PSIG and an ultimate elongation of 200%. The tubing is translucent in color, with a minimum bend radius specified as ten times the tube OD.

Working pressure ratings at 70°F vary by model size, ranging from 52 psi to 272 psi. Specifications provided are typical and intended only as a guide; field testing is required to determine actual operating specifications for specific applications.

Configuration Options

The series supports multiple configurations defined by outer diameter (OD), inner diameter (ID), wall thickness, and standard length. All listed variants are supplied in 100' lengths. Available sizes include:

The model number guide follows the format TYPP-<MODEL>-100, where the suffix indicates a standard length of 100 feet.

Key Product Differences

Variants within the series differ primarily by dimensional specifications (OD, ID, and wall thickness) which directly influence weight per unit and working pressure ratings. Some models are available in black variants, indicated by a "-BLK" suffix on specific part numbers such as TYPP-1418-100-BLK or TYPP-3814-100-BLK.

RoHS compliance is determined individually for each model number; verification requires visiting the manufacturer's resource page. The series does not include electrical connections, sensors, or process fittings as part of the standard tubing assembly.
