Supported Applications

The Omega Non-Reversible Micro-Dot Temperature Label series (OMEGALABEL™) consists of disposable, single-use temperature indicators designed to change color irreversibly when a specific temperature is reached. These labels are used for monitoring temperature exposure in processes, sterilization, and quality control.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series covers measurement ranges from 38°C (100°F) up to higher temperatures depending on the model family. Accuracy varies by range: ±1°C (1.8°F) up to 99°C (210°F); ±1.5°C (2.7°F) from 100°C (212°F) to 154°C (309°F); and ±1% and ±1°C (1.8°F) from 160°C (320°F) to 280°C (536°F). Single-temperature ratings for the Micro-Dot Series and Bulls-Eye Series are available in increments including 38°C/43°C/49°C up through 149°C, with corresponding Fahrenheit values from 100°F to 320°F.

Configuration Options

The series is offered in three primary configurations: Micro-Dot Series (MD-), Bulls-Eye Series (BE-), and multi-point labels designated as 4A, 4B, and 4C. Each configuration supports specific dimensional profiles:

• Micro-Dot Series: Outside Diameter of 5 mm (0.2") with an Indicating Window of 1.3 mm (0.05").
• Bulls-Eye Series: Outside Diameter of 8 mm (0.315") with an Indicating Window of 3 mm (0.13").
• 4A, 4B, and 4C Labels: Overall dimensions are 23 mm (0.9") in Height by 45 mm (1.8") in Width.

Packaging options include individual units or packages of 30; to order a package of 30, add the suffix '-30' to the model number.

Key Product Differences

The series distinguishes between single-point and multi-point monitoring capabilities. The Micro-Dot (MD) and Bulls-Eye (BE) models provide indication at a single temperature rating selected from available values ranging from 38°C to higher limits.

Multi-point labels are categorized by the interval spacing between their four embedded indicators:

• 4A Labels: Provide four temperatures per label with intervals of 5 to 6°C (10°F) between each rating. Model numbers follow the format 4A-XXX, where XXX indicates the starting temperature in Fahrenheit.
• 4B Labels: Feature wider spacing with 14°C (25°F) between each rating.
• 4C Labels: Offer broad coverage with 28°C (50°F) between each rating, extending to higher maximum temperatures such as the 4C-400 model which covers up to 260°C/550°F ranges depending on configuration.
