Supported Applications

The Omega SCE-ELJ Series NEMA Type 4 Enviroline® Junction Enclosures are designed to house electrical controls, instruments, and components. These enclosures provide protection in areas that may be regularly hosed down or located in very wet or oily conditions.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series is constructed from 0.063" Carbon Steel with an ANSI-61 gray powder coating applied inside and out over a phosphatized surface. The enclosures meet the following ratings:

• NEMA Type 4, 12, & 13
• UL Listed Type 4 & 12
• CSA Type 4 & 12
• IEC 60529 IP 66

The series carries UL and CSA approvals, along with a 1 YEAR WARRANTY.

Configuration Options

SCE-ELJ enclosures are available in multiple sizes ranging from 6 x 4 to 20 x 20 inches. The model number follows the format SCE-<HEIGHT><WIDTH><DEPTH>ELJ, with optional sub-panel configurations (e.g., SCE-6P4J). Key configurable features and included components include:

• Removable hinges allowing doors to open 180°
• Black Mini ¼ Turn Latches operated or closed with a screwdriver
• Latch configuration based on height: one latch centered vertically if height is < 14.00 [355.6]; two latches located 3.00 [76.2] from top and bottom if height is > 14.00 [355.6]; three latches required if height is > 20.00 [508]
• Ground stud on door and body
• Included mounting feet, sealing washers, and hole plugs
• Standoffs provided for mounting
• Optional sub-panels (powder coated white)
• Oil-resistant gasket option available

Depth options vary by model size, with some units offering 4.00", 6.00", 8.00", and up to 10.00" depths depending on height and width combinations.
