Supported Applications
The Dwyer Series IDPT Industrial Differential Pressure Transmitter is designed for monitoring differential pressure in industrial applications. The series utilizes a capacitive sensor on ranges from 0 to 0.25 in w.c. to 0 to 1 in w.c., and a piezo sensor on ranges from 0 to 2.5 in w.c. to 0 to 10 in w.c. It is specified for use with clean, dry, compatible gases.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The Series IDPT offers accuracy options of ±0.5% FS standard or ±0.25% FS high accuracy. Measurement ranges include 0 to ±0.25 in w.c., 0 to 0.25 in w.c., 0 to 0.50 in w.c., 0 to 1 in w.c., 0 to 2.5 in w.c., 0 to ±1250 Pa, 0 to 5 in w.c., and 0 to 10 in w.c. The maximum pressure rating is 2 psi.
Operating conditions are defined by an ambient temperature range of -4 to 158°F (-20 to 70°C) per the instruction manual, while the data sheet specifies a process operating temperature of -4 to 158°F (-20 to 70°C). Storage temperatures range from -22 to 176°F (-30 to 80°C). The response time is listed as 250 ms; however, DIP Switch 2 allows selection between instantaneous (OFF) and 3 seconds (ON).
The enclosure features a rugged, water-resistant housing with an NEMA 2 (IP11) rating. Electrical connections are made via screw terminals or a removable European-style four-conductor terminal block.
Configuration Options
The series supports multiple output configurations and power supply options to accommodate different control system requirements:
- Output Signals: 4-20 mA DC, 2-wire; or 0-5 VDC/0-10 VDC selectable, 3-wire. Simultaneous Current and Voltage Output is available.
- Power Supply: 10-35 VDC for the 2-wire version; 17-36 VDC isolated or 21.6-33 VAC for the 3-wire voltage output version.
- Load Resistance: 0-1045 Ω (2-wire) with a minimum supply of 12V+[(.22A)(RI)]; Minimum load resistance is 1 kΩ (3-wire).
The process connection utilizes barbed stainless steel fittings for 3/16" ID tubing. Wetted materials should be confirmed by consulting the factory.
Key Product Differences
Variants within the Series IDPT are distinguished by accuracy class, measurement range, directionality, and units of measure as defined in the model number guide (e.g., IDPT-12U-IN). The series offers:
- Accuracy Options: 0.25% or 0.50% full-scale.
- Directionality: Unidirectional (U) or Bidirectional (B).
- Units: Inches of water column (IN) or Pascals (PA).
Available options include factory calibration, a NIST traceable calibration certificate, and silicone-free construction. The housing material is stainless steel.
