Supported Applications
The Omega GCW Series Gas Cylinder Warmers are designed to heat metal gas cylinders for condensation control, pressure increase, and temperature control. These self-regulating grounded heating elements are intended for use in either indoor or outdoor locations.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The series operates within an ambient temperature range of 30 F to 95 F (-1 C to 35 C). The maximum exposure temperature on the heating surface is rated at 150°F (66°C). Total wattage for the heaters reaches up to 150 watts. Units are moisture and oil resistant, allowing operation in outdoor environments.
Configuration Options
The GCW Series offers configurable electrical inputs and optional accessories tailored to specific cylinder sizes and installation needs.
- Voltage: Available in 120 VAC or 240 VAC at a frequency range of 50-60Hz.
- Cylinder Sizes: Variants are designated for specific cylinder dimensions, including models ending in -848, -951, and -1543.
- Housing Options: Models include standard configurations (GCW) and variants with additional insulation features indicated by the "H" suffix (e.g., GCWH).
- Closure System: Features a hook and loop fastener closure like VELCRO®.
- Power Lead: Equipped with an SJOW cord, 10 feet (3m) in length.
The series supports optional accessories to further reduce heat loss, including an optional cylinder base insulation pad and an optional valve cover. Insulation thickness is specified as 2.0" (51mm) for the sides and 0.5" (13mm) for the top.
