Supported Applications

The Dwyer Series DBV Brass Ball Valve is an economical hand lever ball valve designed for commercial or general industrial use. It functions as a manual shut off valve and supports applications involving gases and liquids compatible with the specified wetted materials.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series operates within a temperature limit of -40 to 365°F (-40 to 185°C). Pressure limits range from 29" Hg to 600 psi (-736 mm Hg to 41 bar) WOG. The valve features a full port design intended for maximum Cv with minimal pressure drop and includes a blowout-proof stem for safety in overpressure events.

Configuration Options

The Series DBV is available across ten model numbers (DBV-00 through DBV-09) corresponding to pipe sizes from 1/4" to 3". The series supports the following configuration parameters:

• End Connections: 1/4" to 3" female NPT.
• Wetted Materials: Body and body cap: Brass; Ball: Chrome plated brass; Stem: Brass; Seat and packing: PTFE.
• Other Materials: Body gland and stem nut: Brass; Handle cover: Rubber; Handle: steel.

Dimensions vary by NPT size, with overall length (A) ranging from 1-39/64 [40.89] to 6-29/64 [163.83]. Specific dimensional values for parameters A, B, C, and D are provided in the specification grid for each pipe size.

Key Product Differences

The series is differentiated by model number based on NPT connection size:

• DBV-00 to DBV-04: Covers 1/4" through 1" pipe sizes.
• DBV-05 to DBV-09: Covers 1-1/4" through 3" pipe sizes.

All models share the same material construction, pressure rating envelope, and temperature limits. A California Proposition 65 warning applies: this product may expose users to chemicals including Lead, which is known to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.
