Supported Applications

The Omega DPG7000 Series comprises high-accuracy digital test gauges designed for demanding pressure measurement applications. These units function as portable or panel-mounted instruments capable of measuring gauge, compound, vacuum, and absolute pressures across a broad range of engineering units. The series meets the ASME B40.7 digital gauge specification.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The DPG7000 Series delivers Terminal Point Total Error Band (TEB) accuracy including hysteresis, linearity, repeatability, and temperature effects within the operating range of -18 to 65°C (-40/150°F). Accuracy grades are available at 0.05%, 0.10%, or 0.25% Full Scale depending on the model selection.

Measurement ranges span from vacuum through 7,000 psi (gauge), with specific options for compound and absolute pressures up to 50 psia. The gauges feature a 3" dial size with .66" high display characters and support twelve selectable engineering units including psi, kPa, bar, mmH2O, mbar/cmH2O, MPa, "Hg, ft.SW, kg/cm², and others.

Performance is maintained within an ambient operating temperature of 0 to 150°F (-18/63°C) with a storage temperature range of -40 to 180°F. The enclosure carries a Weatherproof IP65 (NEMA 4X) rating, and the case material consists of electropolished 300 Series Stainless Steel.

Configuration Options

The series offers extensive configuration options for display behavior, user interface, and calibration. Key configurable features include:

• Model Accuracy Grades: DPG7000 (0.05% accuracy), DPG7010 (0.10% accuracy), and DPG7025 (0.25% accuracy).
• Display & Interface: 4½ digit LCD with bar graph; backlit options include On/Off, 10 Sec., 30 Sec., 5 Min., or 15 Min.; seven languages available (English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Portuguese, Dutch).
• Data Handling: Update rates selectable at 1x/sec, 2x/sec, 5x/sec, or 10x/sec; dampening options include None, Average 2, 4, 6, or 8 x update rate.
• User Functions: Min/Max storage (lost when unit is turned off), Zero/Clear functions, and password-protected configuration menus for disabling features or recalibration.
• Power & Accessories: Powered by three "AAA" alkaline batteries with approximately 1000 hours of battery life; includes a standard 300 Series SS protective cover and nylon carrying pouch. Optional weatherproof ABS gauge carrying case (DPG7000-ABS-CASE) is available.
• Calibration: A 10-point individual NIST traceable calibration chart is standard for DPG7000 models; optional for DPG7010 and DPG7025 (add suffix "-NIST").

The process connection features a ¼ NPT Male socket made of 316 Stainless Steel, with lower, 3:00, or 9:00 orientation options. An optional flange for panel mounting is available.

Key Product Differences

Variants within the DPG7000 Series are distinguished primarily by accuracy grade and pressure range:

• DPG7000 Models: Provide 0.05% Full Scale TEB accuracy.
• DPG7010 Models: Provide 0.10% Full Scale TEB accuracy.
• DPG7025 Models: Provide 0.25% Full Scale TEB accuracy.

Ranges are specified in the model number suffix (e.g., DPG7000-10 for 0 to 10 psi, DPG7000-Vac/15 for vacuum to 15 psi compound). FM approval is available on most ranges but is not offered on vacuum-only and vacuum/15 psi ranges. The series supports a wide array of engineering units programmable via front-panel buttons.
