Supported Applications

The Omega PTC-13-A Series comprises multifunction digital timers designed for controlling equipment, machinery, systems, or processes in industrial applications. These programmable dual digital timers feature a two-line, four-digit display and support timing functions ranging from 0.01 seconds to 9999 hours.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series operates within an ambient temperature range of 0°C to +50°C (32°F to 122°F) with storage capabilities between -25°C and +70°C (-13°F to 158°F). Relative humidity must not exceed 80% for temperatures up to 31°C, decreasing linearly to 50% relative humidity at 40°C. Installation height is limited to a maximum of 2000m.

Timing accuracy is specified as ±0.01% ±1ms. The device meets EN61010-1:2010 safety requirements (pollution degree 2, overvoltage category II) and satisfies performance criterion B for EN 61326-1:2013 EMC directives regarding EN 61000-4-3. The enclosure provides an IP65 rating on the front and IP20 on the rear.

Configuration Options

The series is available in two primary power supply configurations:

  • PTC-13-LV-A: 9-30Vdc/7-24Vac (±10%)
  • PTC-13-A: 90-250Vac 50/60Hz (±10%)

The timers offer extensive configuration options including nine selectable time ranges and thirteen different timing modes. Input signal types can be set to PNP or NPN in programming mode, with adjustable minimum pulse and void duration times between 5ms and 100ms.

Outputs and Connections

  • Relay Outputs: OUT1 provides a single pole changeover contact rated at 10A @ 250Vac (resistive load); OUT2 provides a single pole N/O contact rated at 5A @ 250Vac (resistive load).
  • SSR Outputs: Two open collector outputs (SSR1 & SSR2) with maximum ratings of 30Vdc and 100mA.
  • Auxiliary Power Supply: 12Vdc, maximum 50mA (un-regulated).

Data retention is handled via EEPROM with a minimum lifespan of 10 years. Electrical connections utilize plug-in terminals for signals and screw type terminals for power supply.

The primary distinction between models in this series is the power supply voltage. The PTC-13-LV-A model supports low-voltage AC and DC inputs, while the PTC-13-A model operates on universal mains voltage (90-250Vac). Both variants share identical timing modes, accuracy specifications, output configurations, and environmental ratings.

Users must observe specific warnings: do not use this timer in locations where corrosive or flammable gases could be present. When cleaning the unit, solvents such as thinners, gasoline, or acid must not be used to avoid invalidating the product guarantee.

I have all four of the timed stages programed. However I want to run the program 3 times. I thought that the PTC-13-A had a cycles option. But I can not seem to isolate the option anywhere on page 5 nor in the timing modes listed pages 6-8. Am I being th
