Supported Applications
The Omega SGK series comprises Karma T-Rosette strain gauges engineered for measuring axial strain. These K-Series transducers are designed to deliver good linearity over a wide temperature range and provide good fatigue life in demanding environments.

Operating Conditions & Performance
The series operates within an ambient temperature range of -75 to 200°C (-100 to 392°F). Electrical connection is provided via Solder Pads. The maximum permitted bridge energizing voltage (Vrms) varies by model, with values listed as 4.0 Vrms for the SGK-B3A and SGK-BH3A patterns, and up to 7.5 Vrms or higher depending on specific dimensions in the ordering table.
Configuration Options
The series supports three distinct Tee Rosette styles with configurable termination options:
- SGK-B3A-K350U-****: Two separate strain gauges with perpendicular grids.
- SGK-BH3A-K350U-****: Half-bridge design featuring two strain gauges and a common lead/pad.
- SGK-B5A-K350W-****: Half-bridge Tee Rosette designed for column load cells with high accuracy.
Nominal resistance is 350 Ω across the series. Temperature compensation options include ST (Steel) and AL (Aluminum). Custom gauges are available with fast delivery. Bondable Terminal Pads (BTP) are offered as accessories, including BTPD, BTPC, BTPB, and BTPE terminal pad patterns for ribbon leads or solder pads.
Key Product Differences
Variants differ by gage pattern size, termination type, and temperature compensation material. The 7.5 mm gage pattern models (SGK-B3A-K350U-PC11-E, SGK-B3A-K350U-PC23-E, SGK-BH3A-K350U-PC11-E, SGK-BH3A-K350U-PC23-E) feature dimensions of 3.2 mm (0.126 inch), 4.0 mm (0.157 inch), and overall lengths ranging from 12.5 to 17.5 mm depending on the termination code.
The 9.8 mm gage pattern models (SGK-B5A-K350W-PC11-E, SGK-B5A-K350W-PC23-E) utilize a K350W resistance element and feature dimensions of 5.0 mm (0.197 inch), 2.3 mm (0.091 inch), with overall lengths of 11 to 15 mm.
Termination codes PC11 indicate ST temperature compensation, while PC23 indicates AL temperature compensation. All models are packaged in quantities of 5.
