Supported Applications
The Omega PX51/PXM51 Series consists of heavy-duty industrial pressure transmitters designed for harsh environments. These units feature rugged thick film sensing elements and all stainless steel construction with a sealed SS case to protect internal components. The series is engineered for measuring gas, liquid, and dense liquid media.
Available configurations include Imperial models (PX51) ranging from 0-10 psi to 0-30,000 psi, and Metric models (PXM51) ranging from 0-0.7 bar to 0-400 bar. The series supports Gage Pressure, Sealed Gage Pressure, and Absolute Pressure measurements.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The PX51/PXM51 Series operates within an ambient temperature range of -40 to 104°C (-40 to 220°F). The compensated temperature range is specified as 16 to 71°C (60 to 160°F).

Configuration Options
The series offers extensive configurability across pressure ports, electrical connections, output signals, and special options to accommodate diverse installation requirements.
Pressure Ports & Connections
- PX51 (Imperial): ¼-18 NPT-M, ¼-18 NPT-F, Dual ½-14 NPT external / ¼-18 NPT internal, ¼-20 UNF-F, ¼-20 UNF-M, and ¼ HP Tube Fitting (for ranges ≥10,000 psi).
- PXM51 (Metric): G¼B Male and G¼B Female.
Electrical Connections & Outputs
The series supports multiple electrical termination styles including a 3 m (10') pigtail with ½ NPT conduit, PTIH-10-6P twist-lock 6-pin connector, M12 connector, mini-DIN connector, and submersible waterproof cable with ½ NPT conduit.
Output signals are available in:
- 4 to 20 mA
- 0 to 5 Vdc
- 0 to 10 Vdc
The power supply requirement is 10 to 32 Vdc max. Note that for 0 to 5 Vdc and 0 to 10 Vdc versions, OUTPUT (-) is tied to SUPPLY (-).
Options & Accessories
- Potentiometers: Standard on most models; add 'NP' suffix for No Potentiometers.
- Mating Connector: PT06F10-6S (sold separately) required for the twist-lock connector option.
- Pressure Snubbers: PS-4G (Gas), PS-4E (Lt Oil), PS-4D (Dense Lq), and magnetic versions PS-4G-MG, PS-4E-MG, PS-4D-MG are available.
Key Product Differences
The series is divided into two primary model families based on unit systems:
- PX51 Series (Imperial): Configured with ranges in psi. High-pressure models from 0-10,000 to 0-30,000 psi utilize the 'S' pressure port code for a ¼ HP Tube Fitting.
- PXM51 Series (Metric): Configured with ranges in bar. Pressure ports are designated as G¼B Male or Female.
Pressure reference types are indicated by suffixes: 'G' for Gage, 'SG' for Sealed Gage, and 'A' for Absolute. Electrical connection codes vary between the two series to reflect their specific port geometries (e.g., PX51 uses C/D/T/K/J/S while PXM51 uses MA/MB/MC/MD).
