Supported Applications

The Dwyer Series DSGT Digital Indicating Transmitter is a multi-function process gage designed for applications requiring pressure measurement, transmission, and switching in a single unit. The series measures compatible, non-combustible liquids and gases using an integrated sensor with 17-4 SS wetted materials and a 316 SS socket.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The Series DSGT delivers ±0.25% Full-Scale accuracy, which includes linearity, hysteresis, and repeatability. The device operates within an ambient temperature range of 14 to 140°F (-10 to 60°C) with thermal effects specified at 0.04% FS/°F. Performance is characterized by a response time of 100 ms and a resolution of 5 digits (0.88" high). The pressure limit is rated at 2 x Full-Scale range.

Power requirements are met via loop-powered operation with a supply voltage of 12-36 VDC. The maximum load resistance for the DC output is 0 to 1090 Ω max. Memory backup is provided by two installed, user-replaceable C alkaline batteries.

Configuration Options

The series offers a broad selection of pressure ranges and configuration options tailored to specific process needs:

• Pressure Ranges: Available models cover vacuum-to-pressure combinations (30" Hg-0) and positive-only spans from 15 psig up to 10,000 psig. Specific ranges include 30" Hg-0 to 15/30 psig; 0 to 30, 60, 100, 160, 200, 300, 600, 1000, 5000, 8000, and 10000 psig.
• Switch Options: Models are offered with no switches (-C0S), one SPDT switch (-C1S option), or two SPDT switches (-C2S option).
• Housing & Connections: The unit features a fiberglass reinforced thermoplastic case meeting NEMA 4 (IP56) requirements. Process connection is provided via a standard 1/2" male NPT fitting.
• Display Features: A menu-driven interface allows selection of 12 engineering units, password-protected calibration and disable functions, adjustable bar graph display, and configurable update/dampening rates. The backlite offers five timing options: NEVER, 10 sec., 30 sec., 1 min., or 5 min.
• Accessories: A NIST traceable calibration certificate is available as an option (NISTCAL-PT1).

Key Product Differences

Variants within the Series DSGT are distinguished by their pressure range and switch configuration, indicated in the model number suffix. The base models (-C0S) provide digital indication and 4-20 mA output only. Models with -C1S include one SPDT setpoint adjustment accessible through menu selections, while -C2S variants incorporate two independent SPDT switches.

Physical dimensions for the series are consistent across ranges: overall height is 2-19/32 [66], diameter is 3-5/16 [83.8], and depth is 1-13/32 [35.6]. The unit weighs 1.45 lb (.66 kg) and includes 3 ft flying leads for electrical connection.
