Supported Applications

The Dwyer Series IWP Industrial Weatherproof Pressure Transmitter is designed for pressure measurement in industrial conditions requiring high-performance, stability, and long service life. The transmitter delivers a precise operation under dirty and wet conditions, making it an ideal choice for petroleum, chemical, and metallurgical industry applications.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The Series IWP measures gases and liquids compatible with 304 and 316 stainless steel wetted materials. The transmitter provides a measurement accuracy of 0.5% FS with stability less than 0.2% FS per year. A temperature coefficient of 0.3% F.S. per 10°C is specified.

Operating conditions are defined by the following limits:

  • Temperature Limits (Process): -22 to 203°F (-30 to 95°C)
  • Compensated Temperature Limits (Ambient): 32 to 158°F (0 to 70°C)
  • Pressure Limits: 1.5 x pressure range
  • Enclosure Rating: IP65

The unit operates on a power supply of 12-36 VDC and provides an output signal of 4-20 mA with a maximum loop resistance of 1200 Ω.

Configuration Options

The Series IWP is offered in multiple pressure ranges to accommodate specific process requirements. Available measurement ranges include:

  • 30 psig (Model suffix -00)
  • 50 psig (Model suffix -01)
  • 100 psig (Model suffix -02)
  • 200 psig (Model suffix -03)
  • 300 psig (Model suffix -04)
  • 500 psig (Model suffix -05)
  • 30 psia (Model suffix -10)

The transmitter features a durable cast-aluminum shell with 1/2" female NPT connections for both the process and electrical conduit entry. A 4-digit LED display allows for field inspection of pressure in psi units.

Options & Accessories

  • -NISTCAL-PT1: NIST traceable calibration certificate

The model number guide follows the format: IWP - <RANGE> - <OPTIONS>.

Key Product Differences

Variants within the Series IWP are distinguished primarily by their pressure range and optional calibration certification. The base model provides standard accuracy, while models ordered with the -NISTCAL-PT1 option include a NIST traceable calibration certificate.
