Supported Applications
The Omega DFG-RS5 is a universal digital indicator designed for displaying measurements from interchangeable remote force and torque sensors. It functions as the readout unit for Omega Series RLC (load cells) and RTQ (torque sensors), which are sold separately. The system supports handheld testing or mounting to fixtures and test stands for more sophisticated requirements.
Documented sensor families compatible with this indicator include:
- RLC01 Series: Tension/Compression Load Cells (±50 lbs to ±10,000 lbs).
- RLC02 Series: Compression Load Cells (0 to 100 lbs to 0 to 10,000 lbs).
- RLC03 Series: Low Capacity Tension/Compression Load Cells (±0.25 lbs to ±100 lbs).
- RLC04 Series: Miniature Tension/Compression Load Cells (±0.25 lbs to ±100 lbs).
- RTQ50 Series: Reaction Torque Sensors (±10 oz-in to ±100 lb-in).
Operating Conditions & Performance
The DFG-RS5 indicator operates within an ambient temperature range of 4 to 38°C (40 to 100°F) and supports humidity up to 96% RH non-condensing. The unit features a backlit graphic LCD with a sampling rate of 7000 Hz.
Performance specifications for the indicator itself are:
