ED2046-Series

Supported Applications

The Miljoco ED2046 Series is a digital LED thermometer designed for food service cabinets, including both hot and cold applications. The series features an extra large, brightly-lit display intended to be easily readable from long distances in refrigeration environments or on equipment requiring temperature monitoring.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The ED2046 Series operates within an ambient temperature range of -40 to 140°F (-40 to 60°C). The instrument provides a resolution of 1°F and maintains an accuracy of ±2°F. Display updates occur every 4 seconds.

Measurement Ranges

• 50 to 250°F (Code 56)
• 10 to 120°C (Code 87)
• 50 to 250°F / 10 to 120°C dual scale (Code 57*)

*Shipped from factory as °F, with one-time cut wire to °C.

Power Requirements

The unit operates on 12 VAC or 12 VDC. An optional transformer (Model 161-115) converts 115VAC to 12VAC and is sold separately.

Configuration Options

Housing & Display

The case material is dark red acrylic. The display consists of a high intensity red LED, 0.56" high. The face diameter measures Ø1.88", with an overall depth of 1.50" and a total diameter of Ø2.30".

Sensor Options

The series supports various sensor configurations defined by code:

• Code 02: Ni-plated Cu bulb, 1¼" length, PVC lead (96")
• Code 05: SS (Stainless Steel) bulb, 2½" length, PVC lead (96")
• Code 13: Brass bulb, 2½" length, PVC lead (96"); includes 1/2" NPT connection type

Sensor leads are furnished standard with 96" of Ø 5/32", black PVC covered wire. Longer lengths up to 1000 feet are available.

Mounting & Accessories

The case is designed for installation into an existing 2" dial thermometer panel cut-out, suitable for equipment upgrades or retro-fits. A Stainless Steel Flush Mounting Plate (Model 115-106) is offered as an accessory.

Key Product Differences

The ED2046 Series distinguishes itself through configurable sensor materials and connection types to match specific installation needs, ranging from plain Ni-plated copper bulbs for direct insertion to brass sensors with 1/2" NPT threaded connections. The series offers a dual-scale option (Code 57) that allows field conversion between Fahrenheit and Celsius via a one-time wire cut.

Recalibration is furnished standard with an adjusting screw accessed from the rear of the case. Electrical connection details are furnished standard plain, though other requirements may be consulted at the factory level.
