The FLMW and FLMH variable area flow meters can be installed directly in the fluid line without flow straighteners or special piping. The spring-and-piston type assembly enables these flow meters to be mounted in any position and protects them against changes in viscosity. Available scaled for water or oil, in Aluminum, Brass or Stainless Steel bodies.
The FLMW or the FMLH Series with the optional analog output (-MA) are typically used to transmit a signal proportional to the flow rate to a process controller, a PLC, a recorder, or a panel-mount display. With the -MA options the user can choose between reading a 0 to 2000 Hz square-wave pulse, a 0 to 5 Vdc analog signal, or a 2-wire 4 to 20 mA analog signal by connecting the appropriate pins.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Valve continuos purging system monitoring Common medium for this application is high pressure hot oil (160C) that is required in a very small flow capacity (10÷20lit/h per one valve).

I am interested in FLMH-1010SS-MA for measuring oil flowrate. I am looking at the pressure drop curves shown in the datasheet. Could you provide info on what oil these curves are based on, and how they would scale for an oil that is ~30 cSt at ~40 C.

Asked by: Suchi
Thank you for your inquiry. The pressure drop curves for the FLMH series meters used DTE 25 at 110F (43 C), 0.873 SG oil. Please e-mail flow@omega.com for questions about your specific application.

We are replacing some flow switches with Omega Model FLMW-1002-SS at one of our plants. How much do they weigh, and is this value documented anywhere in your literature? I'm a piping engineer, and I need to address any differences in weight.

Asked by: Alan Swizz
Thank you for your inquiry. Please contact the Flow Group at flow@dwyeromega.com and will advise on the estimated ship weight for the inline flow meter.
