Stainless steel strip heater with diagonal terminals delivers up to 2.5 kW of power and withstands temperatures up to 1200°F. Ideal for applications including dies, plastic forming and sealing, molds, and tank or kettle heating. Designed for efficient, durable heating in ovens and industrial equipment.

FEATURES
The HCS Series stainless steel strip heaters provide clean, dependable heat with sheath temperatures up to 649°C (1200°F) and watt densities up to 40 W per square inch. Because of the seamless stainless steel sheath, these ceramic-insulated strip heaters are dimensionally stable in milled slots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Table-Frame heaters I bought a pair of 150W/120V heaters a month ago to use in a pair of 'Table-Frame' boxes I built to keep seedlings in my greenhouse from getting too cold at night this time of year. 1 heater in each box with a small fan in the left one to circulate warm air. A dual temperature switch via PLC control runs these alternately and with a variable duty cycle (I don't want to cook the seedlings, just keep them between 45-50 degF overnight).

What would I need to be able to control the heat with this heat strip? Would an appropriate amperage rheostat do the job?

Asked by: Lenn
Yes a Rheostat will work to vary the Voltage and the Heaters output power allowing the adjustment of temperature.
