OMEGA® Nextel Ceramic Insulated Thermocouples are easy-to-use precise temperature elements manufactured to meet the highest industry standards. The Nextel ceramic insulation is rated for 1200°C (2200°F) continuous use, or 1425°C (2600°F) short term. These highly versatile elements are the ideal solution for many high temperature applications. Combined with OMEGA's stock thermowells and industrial heads, a complete head and well assembly can be quickly assembled for fast delivery.
Available in 3 wire sizes, 14, 20 and 24 gage, the standard element configuration is 0.3 meters (12 inches) in length with a general purpose welded bead, exposed junction thermocouple, plus 13 mm (0.5") stripped end termination. Calibration types K (CHROMEGA® -ALOMEGA® ) E (CHROMEGA® -Constantan), and J (Iron-Constantan) are stocked for fast delivery. For additional abrasion protection, stainless steel or Inconel overbraiding is available. Consult sales for additional information.

Thermocouple
I bought this a few weeks ago. I've had issue with the metal ring that holds the sheathing on but other than that it's been a good sturdy product.

XC-24-K and 5TC-TT-K-20-36
Using XC-24-K and 5TC-TT-K-20-36 since 8 and 1 year respectively. Former is very sturdy and insulation works fine till 800C for about a week of continuous exposure. ( max. we tried), Latter is very responsive to small temperature changes but amenable to insulation damage at high temperatures.
Both has a very minimal (<0.1 degree) noise when used with standard recorder?controllers- Omega: OMDAQXL or Eurotherm: Nanodac or 2416
Overall a good and stable response.

Hi, how inaccurate will the XC-20-K-24 (TC) be if I buy without calibration?
Without the calibration the tolerance specifications would be +/- 1.1°C or 0.4%.

Is a calibration (with certificate) included?
Thank you for your inquiry. Calibration Certificates does not come included with thermocouples. You will need send a request to temp@omega.com to receive a quote for a calibrated thermocouple.
