This RTD plug sensor is ideal for pressure vessel applications, pressurized containers and applications requiring a temperature sensor with an NPT mounting fitting. The single element design has a 1/8' diameter, 316 stainless steel probe that extends 13 mm (0.51') or 24 mm (0.94') from a 1/8 NPT mounting thread. The M12 connector assures a very reliable connection. Extension cables are offered in different lengths with right or straight angles.

What is the maximum recommended cable length for these RTDs?
Thank you for your inquiry John. You can use the 3 m long M12CFM-P24STPC-SFSR-FL-3 cable or the 20 m long M12CFM-T24SSPC-SFSR-FL-20 cable with this probe without any issues. Anything longer than these cables, the wire gauge and the wire length would introduce error into the measurement.

Can this temperature used to measure the hot air temperature flowing in a duct or pipe?
Yes, the RTDM12-1/8NPT-3MM-13MM-A can be threaded into a pipe or duct to measure hot air flow.

Can the sensor and the M12 connector be submerged in water ?
Thank you for your inquiry. M12 connectors comply with protection class IP67. This allows for protection from water immersion at a depth of 1 meter maximum for no more than 30 minutes.
