The MPJ Miniature Panel Jack requires less than half of the panel area required by the Standard Size connectors. A simple push-on clip is all that is required to retain the connector in a rectangular cutout, or the optional MSS snap strip can be used to mount a row. Angled terminal screws allow wiring to be done after panel assembly.

Instrument preformance
We replace forty of these on an instrument that had had electrically noisy readings for over a year. Everything is beautifully stable now. But it did take four hours to replace them all.

Works as expected.
Hate the packaging. I have to open all the individual bags. I would much prefer bulk packaging.
Sometimes the internal contact bends, jamming the connector and requiring replacement Happens maybe once in a few hundred installations.

It's a thermocouple receptacle.
We're an OEM, and buy install 50 to 100 of these every year. It's a thermocouple receptacle. You can plug a t/c with a male connector into it.
It is just placed in the proper size cutout, and the separate clip holds it in place. It does not seem as if it would hold, but it does hold securely.

What is the maximum panel thickness these are compatible with?
The panel for this connector when using the spring clip should be at least .090 INCHES thick which is our standard panel thickness for MPJ Jack Panels. The max panel thickness allowed is 0.187 INCHES.
